In order to qualify for services, clients must meet the following:
- Clients must reside in the following zip codes.
- For Food,
Rent and Utility Assistance, clients must reside in the
zip codes: 75149, 75150, 75180, 75181, 75182
- Limited
Utility Assistance is also offered for zip code: 75159
- For
any service provided, Clients must provide Proof of residence.
Proof of residence is considered to be a piece of mail
delivered by the US postal service and must dated within
the last thirty days.
- For any service provided, Clients must provide
Picture ID for head of household and Social Security
cards or another form of ID for everyone residing in
the household.
- For financial assistance, Clients must
provide proof of income.
- Proof
of Income may be a recent paycheck stub, unemployment
determination letter, work’s compensation
letter, social security and/or disability benefit determination
letter.
- Clients
may not be currently receiving TANF, AFDC, Section 8
Housing, Utility Assistance or other government assistance,
as the safety net to prevent crisis is already established
for these households.
- For financial assistance, Clients
must provide proof of crisis.
- For financial assistance,
Clients must provide the past due bill and/or disconnect
notice. MSS will not partner with a client to pay a bill
until that bill is past due.
- Clients may receive emergency
food supplies three times in a twelve month period.
- Clients, who qualify, may receive emergency financial
assistance one time in a twelve month period.
